We are the Rocha Family. Aaron, Melissa, Ace, Jocelyn, and Asher. Aaron and I own an energy brokerage in the Allen area and do our best to stay educated and involved in the autism community.
Ace’s Legacy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is named after our son, Ace. Ace was diagnosed with autism in 2018. We know firsthand the frustration that comes with one not being able to communicate effectively. We felt helpless until we were introduced to Proloquo2go, a communication app, and our whole world changed. Ace can navigate his device effortlessly and communicate with everyone around him. Ace and his siblings love playing together and watching movies.
Ace’s Legacy, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was founded to bring communication to those in need.
Our mission is to pair AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices with those affected by non-verbal/non-speaking autism. An AAC device and complete package can cost upwards of $1500.
Matthew and Raegan Rinker are proud parents to three amazing and energetic children. Matthew is an Owner of Careington International, Dial Care & Parkwood Collision. Raegan is a dedicated wife and mother and is excited to focus her efforts as a foundation board member to educate the community regarding Autism.
Our family - Raechel, Matt, George, and Olivia enjoy spending time together at the neighborhood pool & park, going on scooter rides, walks to the creek, and pizza Fridays. We also treasure our lazy Sunday afternoons.
We strive to educate others about Autism and AAC Awareness. In 2016, our son, George, was diagnosed with autism. In 2017, George started using Augmentative & Alternative Communication. His frustration and behaviors decreased, as he was able to communicate his wants! It is his voice, and we are forever grateful!
We wish all families that are using Augmentative & Alternative Communication the very best possible outcomes as they continue forward on their journey.

"Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work You don't give up." -Anne Lamott
Hello, we are so excited to be a part of Belts and Boots! Our family has lived in McKinney for almost 15 years. April, Justin, and I graduated from Baylor, and our whole family are big Baylor Bear Fans! We love playing board games, watching sports, and fishing as a family. Hank is six years old and enjoys playing soccer, baseball, and creating art. Mason is ten and loves fishing, hunting, baseball, and basketball. Justin is usually busy at work, but his passion is hunting in his free time. I have been a stay-at-home mom for the past ten years and this year started teaching preschool part-time at St. Gabriel’s. I am also a speech-language pathologist and understand the importance of augmentative and alternate communication systems in helping individuals increase language and communication skills and participation in daily activities. We are thrilled to be a part of this program to give the gift of communication.
“Being able to be heard is one of the most important privileges we have.” Brian Whitmer (AAC parent)
Hi! We are Lexi and Brandon Goldberg. I grew up in New York and Brandon grew up right here in Plano. We met at The University of Texas at Austin (Hook ‘em!) in 2014. Brandon and I got married last May and are enjoying our newlywed phase of life!
Brandon works with his father in their family business, Miles Goldberg Wholesale Diamonds. I received my Masters in Autism and Developmental Disabilities and shortly after, met the Rochas. I was lucky to meet this family and had the privilege of working with Ace and collaborating with Aaron and Melissa for years. Ace and the Rochas quickly became my absolute favorite family (shh, don’t tell the others). We are so excited to be part of this non-profit and give back to the autism community and those who are in need of augmentative and alternative communication!
